Usage Instructions

Shake well before each use. Spray evenly on exposed skin and clothing, avoiding your eyes and mouth.
To apply on dogs, spray fur, avoiding their head and face. To apply to a dog’s face, spray on your hands first, them rub it around their ears, cheeks and along snout, avoiding their eyes and nose. (The scent might be a bit overwhelming at first, so spray lightly.)
Reapply as needed for continued protection.
DO NOT USE ON CATS.

Is Bugger Off safe for children?

Yes! Bugger Off is formulated with only natural essential oils, witch hazel, and distilled water, making it safe for children over 2 years of age. For children under 2, please consult your pediatrician before use. Keep in mind, though, that the scent could be on the strong side for small children, so it might be best to first spray it on your hands then apply it to the child so they can get accustomed to the fragrance. Also, we highly recommend supervising application and avoiding the eye and mouth areas.
Can I use this on my dog?

Absolutely! Bugger Off is safe for dogs. Spray it on their fur while avoiding the face and head. For facial application, spray on your hands first, then gently rub around ears, cheeks, and snout, avoiding their eyes and nose. We highly recommend starting with a light application as the scent may be on the strong side initially, and let your pooch get accustomed to the fragrance.

What does Bugger Off smell like?

Bugger Off has an invigorating, fresh scent with citrusy and herbal notes from the essential oil blend. Unlike harsh chemical repellents, it leaves behind a natural, clean fragrance that most people find appealing.

The scent might be a bit overwhelming at first to children and dogs, so it may be best to introduce them to it initially by rubbing it on your hands.

What is witch hazel and why do you use it?

Witch hazel is a flowering shrub. Nearly the entire plant is used to make the product named after it. Most often, witch hazel is used as an astringent for skin care but we use it in Bugger Off because it helps disperse the essential oils within the distilled water.

Oil and water don’t mix, so any blend of those needs help if you want the oils to be dispersed well. Witch hazel acts as an emulsifier, helping the essential oils disperse more evenly throughout the water base of the spray. This creates a more consistent and effective spray that doesn’t separate into layers of oil and water.

I love my Bugger Off. I am always the one to be “eaten alive” by all the bugs. Went camping in Arizona a few weeks ago and did not get one bite. Just spent several days in FL in the buggy humid weather without incident! This had never happened!!! Love it so much…a loyal customer for life right here!!!
